Melinda is fantastic to work with! She is a huge asset to any team - she is great at cross-collaboration and problem-solving both on her own and with a team. She goes above and beyond and brings her very best to every project, task, and situation. If she can’t immediately resolve an issue, she will learn what she needs to and get back to you quickly with a solution. Melinda consistently and reliably delivers and is wonderful to work with!

As the Chief Financial & Administrative Officer for the Wyoming Business Council, Melinda worked for me as our Salesforce Administrator. She was up-to-date on product releases, continually worked to increase her knowledge and skillset, and developed creative solutions to problems. Melinda is a talented, hard-working and warm team member. I miss her and wish her the best!

Senior Salesforce Administrator for the Wyoming Business Council, Wyoming Office of Tourism, and the University of Wyoming—Manufacturing Works. I worked directly with C level executives to develop strategies for improvement of business processes and capturing performance measurements. In this capacity, I oversaw and managed other Salesforce Administrators within each organization and was responsible for the daily administration of Salesforce and related applications for each agency. Administration included, but was not limited to managing user setup, profiles, roles, custom objects, fields, record types, page layouts, validations, reports and dashboards, workflows and triggers, Apex and Visualforce, training users, implementing protocols, providing technical assistance, configuring improvements, developing solutions, building, testing, and deploying change sets. It also required me to stay up-to-date with new applications, Salesforce features, and release notes.

I worked with local and state government officials, and those of neighboring states, to develop and implement multi-state and multi-region projects that ultimately benefit the state of Wyoming’s economy, communities, and residents. I provided leadership to the Regional Field Offices across the state with project development, data analytics, strategic relationship development, team building, and project management. This job required me to work as a team with all Wyoming Business Council employees and divisions, along with other local, state, federal, and private businesses and organizations to deliver the best possible economic and community development assistance and guidance to the Wyoming populace.

I established Greater Wyoming Grants in 2009 to provide assistance to governmental agencies and non-profit organizations with strategic planning, program and project development, consulting services, writing assistance, and project oversight and administration. This business afforded me the privilege of meeting diverse groups of individuals throughout the state and the opportunity to learn about the unique characteristics and needs of each location. • Project Director and Funding Specialist
      • Oct 2006 - Jan 2011

As the Project Director and Funding Specialist for the City, I was responsible for overseeing projects from development through to completion. This included conducting needs analysis and feasibility studies, strategic team development and leadership, grant application preparation and administration, spearheading public engagement, conducting environmental reviews, and fulfilling other state and federal regulatory requirements. I was also responsible for managing project finances and ensuring reporting and federal auditing requirements were met.During my time in this position, I worked successfully to build partnerships with community members, local businesses, economic development organizations, non-profits, and state and federal agencies. The political nature of the job was challenging at times but the overall impacts the projects had on the community made this position very rewarding. In 2010, I was honored to present one of our many project success stories at the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment conference.
