Kentuckiana is a small Facility owed by Cardiologist and Surgeons. As House supervisor I managed Bed placement, trained and worked in the E.R., Medical Surgical, Telemetry, Edoscopy, Pre-op,Post-op, Pharmacy, and Conscious Sedation. When not working as House Supervisor my base unit was ICU where we admitted every type of patient that was in critical condition as well as post op heart patients. ICU with wide range disease processes, critically ill clients, age range Newborn to middle age cardiac anomalies. I belonged to The High Tech Team, Extracorpeal Membrane Technician, Extracorpeal membrane primer, Dialysis Technician, and Balloon pump Technician. I belonged to The Skin Car Committee, VAP Committee, Diversity Committee, Sacred Space Committee, and Education Committee. We were a 25 bed unit, and patient ratio was 1:1 or 2:1 at the most 1:2. I also was preceptor to new hires, Externs and students, and I served on the Code Team. As a High Technical Nurse I particpted in Infection Control, monitoring for aseptic technique.
