Duties in my current role include implementing strategies, analysing best performing vendors/brands, presenting figures in our weekly buying meeting from the performance of the previous week and discussing mark downs and price adjustments. As well as re-forecasting sales for the next two months for both stores and eCommerce, by reviewing our stock that is on order. Also, often going on competition shopping visits and proposing new styles/ brands which are in the market. This was a unique role as I was the only fashion assistant across two weekly publications, which meant I must be extremely organised, a fast worker and focused at all times to ensure I was always on track. I worked closely with PRs, constantly requesting images and calling in products for photoshoots; on average I was involved in 2 to 3 shoots per week. I assisted three editors which involved keeping track of their individual schedules, especially throughout fashion week, as well as helping to compile both trend and guide pages for the magazine. I created and built galleries, choosing the best possible products for our readers which keeps them coming back to our site for further inspiration on what to buy. Show less
