The Bukongalonzo Moringa Women Producers Cooperative Project

  Role Focus: While working on this project, I provided support to women from local communities on the Batéké plateau while initiating the reforestation activities around the community. Key Achievements: ★ Collaborated with local communities, the government, and UNDP for setting up project while establishing cooperative management committee. ★ Complied with donor requirements and collected 96K USD from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Office of the Prime Minister of the DRC. The African Model Forest Network (RAFM)

  Role Focus: In this role, I ideated, planned, and directed Model Forest program and oversaw the annual budgets while setting up office in Kinshasa and developing a work team of professionals. Furthermore, I closely monitored program activities regularly and drafted progress, resource, and budgetary reports for the AMFN and Natural Resources Canada (NRCan). Key Achievements: ★ Established Mayombe Model Forest and the Lac Tumba Model Forest and facilitated the recognition of RAFM as a global strategic partner, receiving annual funding by NRCan. ★ Maintained corporate visibility of RAFM and partnered with the Ministry of the Environment, World Wildlife Fund (WWF), Greenpeace, the Federation of Timber Manufacturers (FIB), Central African Forest Commission (COMIFAC), and the Congo Basin Forest Partnership (PFBC). ★ Mobilized RAFM funds and collected 1M CAD for DRC Project from NRCan. The COBAM-Lukolela Climate Change Adaptation Project

  Role Focus: While working as a manager of this project, I served vulnerable communities of deforestation, agricultural land deterioration, and increased vulnerability to environmental events. Key Achievements: ★ Combined all stakeholders and local professionals for successful project execution and strategized annual plans while allocating resources. ★ Directed awareness initiatives and training workshops on climate change adaptation and ensured project sustainability through supervision of local project management team. ★ Collected 200K CAD for COBAM-Lukulela project from Center for International Forestry Research, obtaining the Mayor's permission for the COBAM project with the entire riparian areas of the Congo River. Oxfam-Québec the Congo Basin Natural Resource Management Training Project (FOGRN)

  Role Focus: Served as the field project coordinator of the FOGRN project led by the Faculty of Forestry, Geomatics, and Geography of Laval University; funded by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). Key Achievements: ★ Liaised between environment and education ministries for continuous political support of project, renewing annual funding by CIDA. ★ Responsible for renovating the academic curricula forest engineers at eight institutions, the financing of excellence scholarships for three cohorts of engineers, and the training of eight doctoral students coupled with the construction of a pavilion at the University of Kinshasa for foresters training. ★ Volunteered for the Vice-President Civil Society for the Thematic Group on Afforestation, Reforestation and Agroforestry within the UN-REDD+ Program of the DRC (2009-2012).
