Melanie is a Partner in the Real Estate Group at DWF. Melanie is Head of DWF’s Global Real Estate Sector and also of the Hospitality and Leisure Team. Within our Real Estate Practice Group she sits in our Public Sector National Team.With over 20 years' experience Melanie primarily focuses on the investment and funding of development projects and property tax driven transactions. She has particular expertise in respect of public sector projects, acquisition of hotels, development and refurbishment projects and real estate finance in addition to handling asset management work for investors, developers and Banks as well as dealing with landlord and tenant matters.Melanie also sits on the Board of Directors of the Colmore Business District 'BID', which is a Business Improvement District within Birmingham City Centre, comprising key members of the business community working collectively to invest in projects and services to improve the business environment.Melanie is also ranked as an expert in the real estate market in Chambers and noted for her specialism in securing investment and funding for development schemes, as well as offering advice on landlord and tenant work, and asset management.
