- Residing and working in a town of about 1,000 people, was tasked with various community health based projects and developments, all conducted in Spanish and/or Guarani languages. - Worked with diverse stakeholders to form government recognized groups, form project plans, raise funds, write grant proposals, and execute projects. One of the most notable projects is the construction of 27 brick cook stoves along with the planting of over 1,000 trees for future firewood. - Taught in the elementary and high schools, covering topics such as self esteem and leadership, English, sexual health, gender equality, nutrition, gardening, and exercise. One of the initiatives with the largest scope included the organization and execution of a formal course for the International Gender Equality Initiative, 'HeForShe,' which is sponsored by The Peace Corps and The United Nations of Women, with 100 participating students in the local high school.
