I've had the privilege of being a preceptor to Melanie during her internship at the University of Texas Medical Branch. Melanie was with me in my clinic for one month and I had the opportunity to see her turn from a student into a colleague within that time as she performed staff relief in her final week. She was eager to learn, ready to help with any projects, and used evidence-based practice to educate our patients in Diabetes care and nutrition.
