I had the privilege of working with Melanie from 2015 to 2020. She is keenly intelligent, insightful, extremely hard-working and strategic in her thinking. She has the unique ability to manage, inspire, supervise and coordinate the activities of many staff members and hundreds of volunteers with attention to detail and high expectations for herself and others. She created and manages a Salesforce database and tracks donations, volunteers and clients. She built and coordinates partnerships and collaborations across immigrant communities. Because of Melanie’s stellar performance, more than ten thousand immigrants have achieved their US citizenship. I trust and respect no one more.

I have meet Melanie in 2010 during her study abroad semester in Costa Rica. I consider her one of my best students. She was able to get along at the field with our group during three months. She has great initiative to work alone or in a group. She was the kind of person who acts as mediator if it is necessary and she does that with respect and very good manners. I have to say that she adapted very well to different conditions and cultural situations. We were living in places with few facilities and she could manage all situations very well. She worked with my organization in 2011 and I requested her to translate our website. I also asked her to prepare a complete web site for a Training Center we are implementing in the Amazon basin. She developed a program for volunteers and activities to carry out with a very professional point of view. She can definitely work in a team or without supervision. I strongly recommend Melanie to any person who desires to have a great employee and excellent person working for him/her.
