I worked in this restaurant being involved in several tasks: Helping out in the kitchen, decorating the space, making cocktails, serving food, welcoming guests, showing them their rooms, making sure their stay is comfortable. This way I learned how to be very flexible with my tasks, learn and adapt to new things quickly and especially how to work with all kind of people (commuters, foreigners, families, people from events or trips like company outings, committee meetings and so on). Facing and dealing with so many different people allowed me to improve my soft skills and learn how to react fast and stable with new upcoming situations. Show less

Sukuma Award e.V. is a non-profit organisation dedicating its work to non-formal and sustainable education. They work in different fields, cooperate with schools and other institutions, organise an annual festival and coordinate the 'Sukuma Award' - competition where people can send in their best videos dealing with the topic of climate change and sustainability. I was part of Sukuma e.V. during the preparation period for the competition meaning handling e-mails, creating web-designs, archiving documents. I gained my very first insight into the work of a NGO, its administrative and creative aspects. I got more familiar with computer programs (exel, word, image editing) and got to work with numerous people who are engaged in this sustainable educational sector allowing me to discover its possibilities and inspire me for my future work.
