Responsibilities for instruction include driving class discussions to coordinate with inquiry-based activities and create an environment of active learning through experimentation. Other responsibilities include collaborating with other members of the department on a daily basis to evaluate and steer the direction of the course and develop diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments to evaluate the students, myself, and the course. Further responsibilities include counseling students in further understanding of science concepts outside of the designated classroom time, developing cadet candidate character through mentoring as opportunities arise, and engaging in professional development to improve myself.

There has been a steady increase in the incidence of thyroid cancer in the United States. In men and postmenopausal women the lower incidence, increased aggressiveness, and poorer clinical outcome of the disease may be due to androgen/androgen receptor (AR) related functions.
