  Senior Literacy Intervention Teacher providing small group withdrawal for students from year 3 to Year 6. Synthetic phonics and decodable readers were used for younger levels. Older students foci was on reading comprehension where I used levelled texts to engage student interest. I had the pleasure of seeing non-readers become lovers of literacy. One student presented a talk to library class about his transformation in learning to love reading. Pre and post tests using YARC showed significant growth.
