  Area of Expertise:Sociology of health & illness / LGBT healthcare / Sexuality Studies / Theoretical frameworksDevelopment and delivery of a world-class sociology curriculum that spans all level of the DCU School of Nursing & Human Sciences and Faculty of Science and Health undergraduate degree programmes [i.e. from Level 8: introductory degree level sociology to programmes in nursing science, environmental sciences and sport science]. Although the sociology modules are now taught by colleagues on the nursing science, environmental sciences and sport science programmes, the modules and curriculum, covering all aspects of sociology, were designed, monitored and adapted by me (as the sole sociologist in the Faculty of Science and Health prior to the recruitment of additional staff members with expertise in sociology).Development and delivery of core modules for the DCU, Master’s level, inter-faculty, multidisciplinary, Sexuality Studies programme
