I have had the distinct pleasure of knowing and working with Ms. Stephens for very close to 10 years. During that period, I have had an opportunity to witness her many strengths and talents. She is highly competent in wearing many hats in a fast-pced environment. She was instrumental in our firm as a paralegal, litigation assistant, our HR personnel, our Administrator/Director, as well as our interior designer. She is highly detailed, organized and an extremely hard worker. More importantly, she is friendly and creative and provides an environment that is welcoming to clients of all types and backgrounds. It is rare that I will agree to provide a recommendation - for anyone. In the case of Ms. Stephens, I do so willingly and without reservation. She is not only a valued team member, but a genuinely wonderful person.

Mekaela was working with me for nearly eight years and she is by far one of the most competent individuals I have ever worked with. I initially hired Mekaela when I was a partner at the Zuber & Taillieu LLP firm(now ZLD)--a general practice firm with an emphasis on litigation. Back then, I focused almost entirely on intellectual property litigation and had recently gone through a series of assistants. I started my career at O'Melveny and Myers and had developed certain expectations from my assistant. Nonetheless, Mekaela exceeded all of those expectations and she has been by my side ever since. As the head of litigation, Mekaela was a tremendous administrative force, helping me fill that role. She is smart, dedicated, talented, hard working, loyal, confident, and has a working knowledge of nearly all aspects of litigation in many different practice areas. After I left Zuber & Taillieu LLP, I started a small firm where Mekaela was in charge of not only my cases, but all administrative matters. She handled all vendors, communicated with clients, collected our fees, ran reports, interfaced with the accountants, and performed many more tasks than I can recite here. She was the hub--a part without which I could not have gone on. As of late, I have segued into a full personal injury trial practice and until about a month ago Mekaela supported that as well. She knows how to prepare for trial and understands the pressures associated with it. She is an asset to any organization she becomes a part of and I do not have enough words to communicate how highly I think of her.
