  The New Product Development group functions as the bridge between RnD and Operations, where the rubber of product concepts meets the road of productization. We are responsible for the timely and quality development of new reagent formulations, stability, configurations, COGs, as well as the long-term sustainability and manufacturability for the lifetime of the product. Responsibilities: - Oversee the development and transfer of all new reagent products in the single-cell portfolio, support the NPD leads and core teams to ensure on-time product launch, and facilitate the smooth transition into life-cycle management phase. - Hire, promote, develop, and retain NPD team members, provide feedback and development opportunities for all members of the team ranging from RA to Sr. Scientist - As part of a multidisciplinary team, shepherd the transfer of single-cell reagent production from US to Singapore on a tight time-line, while prioritizing quality and efficiency. - Ideation of new product concepts and filing Invention Disclosures, working across functions to garner momentum for new product ideas Deliverables: - Led the Single-cell NPD team through significant change, on-boarded 3 new members, through 4 on-time product launches within the first year of joining 10x Genomics - Established Single-cell reagent sustaining infrastructure comprised of longitudinal monitoring, QC method improvements, and standardized spec setting process across the entire single-cell portfolio. - In partnership with the head of QC, united stakeholders across multiple functions in RnD and Operations to improve finished goods QC for on-market products that culminated in >96% first pass rate and >$850K annual QC sequencing savings.
