Built the AI, engineering and IT teams that designed, documented, built and deployed the first FDA cleared autonomous diagnostic AI, IDx-DR. This product's AI detects signs of diabetic retinopathy, an eye disease, in images of the retina. As the device functions autonomously, without physician oversight, anyone with a high-school education and limited training can now perform an eye exam. This enables taking specialty care into new places such a retail healthcare.
