Particularly SMS was selected as a transmission mode as according to Internet Live Stats 80% of Indian population don't have an internet connection. Thus to reach maximum number of people SMS was preferred. SMS data is stored at SMS center in a plain text format so it is needed to be secured. - Studied methods of encryption and different cryptograhic algorithms. - A Java based application was developed to compare the encryption method of different algorithms.
