  -The combustion and gasification of solid fuels in centralized and decentralized energy units,-The Issues of ambient air quality and air pollutants as well as the mathematical simulation of firing systems-The dynamic behaviour of thermal power plants,-The 3D simulation of the interconnected power systems(3D CFD- 3DComputational Fluid Dynamics program code),I worked in the research group for the development of flameless combustion with special focus on the use of solid fuels.During my internship I contributed to the European project FLOX-COAL-II. I prepared independently the dissemination of project results on the project website.Moreover,I undertook a literature survey of flameless combustion research history at IFK. I finalized this work by a written summary. In the second stage of my internship, I was involved in numerical simulations of the flameless combustion process using the in-house software tool AIOLOS, a 3D Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) program code. I was consigned to the calculation of residence times as well as to a numerical parameter study. The simulation work included pre-processing,execution and post-processing and result interpretation.
