  Duties and Responsibilities  Drove the operation of Geotechnical investigation including site inspection, drilling and assignment of work orders to drillers.  Engineering Geologist for on shore and near shore.  Performed site visit, prepared inspection reports and diagnosed foundations with problematic soils.  Liaise between Operations & Engineering Teams at all stages of projects, from planning through to end of site work.  Received and described soil and rock samples from the site, and recommended some samples for any irregularities based on specifications, type and purpose of building.  Logged the samples as per BS 5930-1999, both disturbed as well as undisturbed samples of soil and rock.  Prepared laboratory test schedule by selecting samples of rock soil and water for specific mechanical and chemical testing.  Prepared draft borehole logs based visual description and laboratory test results.  Possess the complete knowledge of important lab tests like sieve analysis, Atterberg limits, Specific gravity, Direct shear, Moisture content, CBR, Proctor, UCS, Point load, Tri-axial, sulpahate, pH, chloride, carbonate content etc.  An Installation of different type of piezometers for the monitoring of ground water fluctuations.  Have experience in conducting special in-situ tests like, Packer test, Constant head and Falling head permeability tests and infiltration test (soak away).  Experience in processing CPT raw data using UNIPLOT software, Prepare CPT preliminary reports.  Have a sound knowledge of different strata in the UAE, IRAQ & PAKISTAN.  Have a thorough knowledge of BS 5930-1999 “code of practice for site investigation“.  Have the knowledge of ASTM standards followed in conducting some of the tests.  Prepare and present the daily, weekly and monthly progress report to the upper management Show less
