Documented the craft on the pastoralist Gaddi tribe of Kangra and the Tibetan Community of Dharamshala, Mcleod ganj where I covered their origin, history, demographics, geography, culture, process, and clothing. Worked on the revival of craft through my Product line naming Dhasa’s Gaddan where I have followed the sustainable approach by incorporating minimal and recycled waste. Fortunate enough to land during the design process for Indian Couture Week Grand Finale 2019. Introduced to high-end couture and learned what it takes to make a showstopper ensemble along with rest ensembles. Assisted designer and embroidery master to translate the desired mood of a collection through research, artworks ( khakha ), surface development and silhouettes into visual concepts. Worked with embroidery colorways and further graded them for the production process. Contributed my ideas along karigars, which made me learn their local glossary. Oversaw the technical process of creating all pieces from beginning to end. Show less
