Being a teaching assistant, I am often getting the classes ready for lessons. Helping and listening to the students read and write, and helping them process and understand questions/tasks better. It involves helping teachers to plan activities for the students who need more support as well as the SEN students the I work closely with. I often would do 1:1 or small group sessions with the students to do pre-learning with them in order to help them understand what the lesson will end up being about. I sometimes help around the school for administrative tasks and looking after the students who are being distracting in lessons so they have been asked to leave and go elsewhere. Show less

Already having experience in the bar assistant role, it meant that I adapted quickly to the new environment and in a short amount of time I became a bar supervisor, working closely with the manager to help with their responsibilities. These responsibilities included inputting order invoices, daily intakes and stock data. As well as opening and closing the building and overseeing the bar throughout the day. I would answer the phone to take reservations and do outcalls when aspects of the technical system would go down in order to fix it. Show less

My responsibilities were to stock shelves of Fresh products, to check the dates of these products and to reduce relevant stock where it meets the needs of the company and customers. I was a Customer Assistant which means I was on the shop floor prepared to help customers as and when they needed it, and I was also Till Trained, meaning I was able to use the tills on Checkouts. I also worked closely with the manager to help them with their responsibilities.
