Under Dr. Randy Buckner within the Cognitive Neuroscience Lab, I designed, completed, and ran preliminary analyses for two longitudinal studies on stress in undergraduates by developing new analytical frameworks for combining multimodal measures including behavioral tracking, GPS sampling, mobile phone usage indicators, self-report surveys, cognitive tasks, and fMRI. For the role, I was fully certified in operation of fMRI and participant safety/consent protocols; trained in utilizing wrist actigraphy monitors and quality controlling data; trained in set-up and interpretation of survey data collected by smartphone application (Beiwe); familiar with large intraparticipant data sets. Additionally, I co-authored and presented a poster at the 2016 Society for Neuroscience Conference in San Diego, CA.

Under Dr. Douglas Weldon, I researched mechanisms of reward-based addiction learning in neurochemistry and behavior of rats. I performed immunohistochemistry, microscopy, cell counting, and analysis [ImageJ] to explore the role of brain-derived neurotrophic factor and calcium binding proteins in the ventral tegmental area, nucleus accumbens, dentate gyrus of hippocampus, and dorsal striatum in sensitization to apomorphine in rats. Additionally, I co-authored a poster presented at the 2014 Society for Neuroscience Conference.
