Bio
Danielle Brumfitt
Megan was a talented and skilled professional and a highly valued member of my External Affairs team. She is a strong collaborator and approaches projects and initiatives with practical yet creative strategic ideas. She is a strong leader within her own team, across functions, and with external partners. Her superior communications and interpersonal skills enable her to create buy-in and loyalty for our mission-driven work from volunteers, donors, and other stakeholders. She is a dynamic speaker and presenter and is skilled at planning events. Megan is highly capable of managing details and logistics of projects and I can rely on her to work hard to make a success out of any project on her plate. She has the cultural agility to work well with various levels of leadership and work styles, ultimately driving effective outcomes. Megan displays a level of commitment and passion to everything she does that was personally inspiriting. She held a long tenure with our organization that was only cut short due to COVID and difficult budget decisions. She’s a valuable asset to any team!

It was a real pleasure working with Megan over the past 4 years. We would collaborate on identifying donors in Chicago and in the Twin Cities to attend scholarship events as well as individual donor meetings. She has a natural ability to connect with people and show them that they are truly being heard, which is an essential skill for a fundraiser to possess. The more donor lunches we'd attend together the more I recognized her strong skills as a relationship builder. I involved Megan in the cultivation and stewardship touches of mid and major gifts level donors and she was a key partner on the local level, in Chicago and MSP, and looked forward to continuing our work together, but unfortunately we are living in very difficult and unpredictable times. I've always thought she'd be a terrific fundraiser, due to her keen attention to detail and as an active listener, and natural ability to connect with people from all walks of life. I would strongly recommend Megan for a role on your fundraising team!
