For the religious school, I am responsible for maintaining the religious school database and information on students, teachers and families, tracking the attendance of the teachers and students weekly, creating, editing, and maintaining the monthly newsletter sent from the teachers to the families, and acting as a support for the religious school staff and teachers as needed. For the childcare coordinator position, I am responsible for scheduling childcare for Shabbat, holidays, and any special programs at the synagogue and supervising the childcare room when needed. I also work closely with the Ritual Director and Director of Continuing Education to assist where needed and to help maintain a busy and complete schedule daily as well as being available to assist the Senior Rabbi when needed. As a youth advisor, I am responsible for planning and implementing age appropriate programs for children between the ages of kindergarten and fifth grade. These programs teach Jewish content, while providing a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for the children to help them get involved in the synagogue in an age appropriate way. Show less
