When working at Beks Electrical I used the several different skills I obtained through my previous work experiences. This allowed me to excel in the work environment creating and improving the percentage of sales and also having a large impact on repeat purchases of the business. During my time at Beks Electrical I improved and built upon my previous skills and qualities I developed throughout in other work place environments. I completed several different roles including working on the front till dealing with customers face to face, allowing myself to communicate with the customers building upon my confidence. In relation to this, I learnt how to deal with several different types of customers and I used my initiative when it came to dealing with customers who may have a complaint or an issue. This allowed me to know I am a calm and patient person when it comes to dealing with difficult situations. Show less

Whilst working at Currys, I was given a variety of different tasks and roles I would be undertaking during my shifts. They included promoting several technology products and completing sales, and dealing efficiently with any enquiries or complaints customers may have. My self confidence and self esteem allowed me to encourage sales and promote new products. I used my communication skills and knowledge to contribute to excellent team work, in which I believe is essential when working with the public. When working and deal with large products such as washing machines and fridge freezers, it is vital in being aware of the several different health and safety regulations that apply in the work place. Here I learnt the different steps and procedures you have to take, in order to prevent any risk/harm being brought to the members of the public. Show less

In this role I gained a variety of different skills to allow me to work to my full potential and to encourage sales. I developed on my team working skills to allow me to work efficiently as a team member and to make sure tasks were carried out to the greatest potential. The Coffee Stop also allowed me to build up my communication team because it is essential that you communicate with both the members of the public and the other members within the team. I learnt how to deal with various types of customers and how to be co-operative and keep patient when faced with difficult situations. I also made sure I listened to the comments they had to say about The Coffee Stop, to make sure their visit was positive and memorable. During my time at The Coffee Stop, I endured many different sections of my role including working on the front counter tills. I enjoyed doing this very much because it allowed me to strengthen my confidence while dealing directly with customers. In relation to this, I had to take orders into the chef while preparing drinks, which shows I am capable of multi-tasking in a busy environment and I work well under pressure. In a busy work environment problems and situations occasionally occur and criticisms are rarely made. However If this was the case and I received criticism, I have the ability to accept and learn from the criticism. This shows I am open to learning, while in the work environment. At The Coffee Stop, I learnt that health and safety is one of the most important procedures to know and understand, that’s why its essential to take those extra steps to make sure no-one including staff and customers are put at risk of getting hurt/harmed or are in danger.
