Research Assistant
-
Dec 2012 - Present
I have volunteered my time on a part-time basis to the research being performed in the UNMH Emergency Department, because I am passionate about promoting the advancement of medical techniques and knowledge. The research conducted ranges from CDC-led, FDA regulated, clinical, private drug company funded, or emergency doctor-led studies. My duties as Research Assistant include screening and enrolling patients in Emergency Department studies, informing patients of studies applicable to them, contacting the Clinical Research Manager, verifying patient signatures during enrollment or audits, facilitating the Clinical Research Manager with organization of audits, and helping the Clinical Research Manager search and sort vital documentation used during research studies. My main role is to assist the Clinical Research Manager’s daily tasks towards completing the medical research studies. I also hope the knowledge I have gained will help me in a medical career.
