I currently work at Pritzker College Prep on the west side of Chicago teaching 12th grade Statistics (and AP Statistics) and advising a group of 23 girls. I create my own lesson plans, activities, and assessments as well as work with the math department to align the students' education from freshmen through senior year. I also collaborate with fellow senior teachers to prepare students for college by being a mentor for a senior research paper and including college skills within the classroom like tracking grades, following a syllabus, and managing time. I also supervise a number of clubs: student government, math team, and art club. Show less

Taught 1-3 students/hour using Mathnasium curriculum worksheets. Each student has an individualized learning plan based on those worksheets, which I created for my students. This was supplemental academic work, so it was even more imperative to make strong relationships with the students and help them to find confidence and enjoyment in math.
