  The Key Largo Anglers Club’s guiding principles envision a vibrant and successful club, which maintains the history, heritage, and traditions of the past for generations to come. KLAC was established in the 1920’s and designated in 1993 as a “Historic and Cultural Landmark” by the Historic Florida Keys Preservation Board. The Anglers Club property sits on approximately 45 acres and is comprised of the Club, and 68 homes, and 12 homesites. Secluded waterfront setting allows you to experience an “Old Florida” vernacular in the architectural style, the landscaping plan, and the atmosphere. Enjoy two marinas, walk/bike trails, open spaces and dedicated park areas. As the Club's Historian and Collections Manager, I oversee the digitization of KLAC's collections, developing digital representation of analogue objects. Creating a digital copy of the assets of KLAC with the latest imaging techniques protects valuable artifacts from any damage by natural disasters or human interventions and thus helps preserve the institution's history.
