SeaCamp San Diego is a marine biology based outdoor education camp for kids. As a marine science instructor, I educated various aged students in a hands-on environment through marine science activities and labs. Our labs consisted of lessons focused on a variety of marine biology themes including invertebrates, fish, plankton, marine mammals, and night time adaptations, and usually involved a dissection. Our outdoor activities included snorkeling, kayaking, boogie boarding, boat trips, excursions to SeaWorld and the San Diego Zoo. Shifts are scheduled as full days, overnights in dorms with campers, maintenance and facility upkeep including handling and cleaning tanks of live fish, as well as office paperwork. Show less
