I had the privilege of working for Megan during most of my time with LOFT. Megan had just been recently promoted to the role of District Manager when I had started with the brand and I was so impressed by how seamlessly she transitioned into her role. She had a very large district in both size, geography, and a large range of volume and lifestyle. Because of this we had a very eclectic group of Store Managers from all walks of life and Megan was able to connect with each of us and style-flex flawlessly to what we needed. It was also a huge advantage to us being that Megan was an internal promote as she had walked the walk as we were doing, she knew what we were going through as Store Managers, and was able to truly be our voice at the corporate level of what was realistic for us to accomplish with the limited resources we were given. What I admired most about working for Megan is her ability to believe in people. I had a bit of a challenge at first acclimating to the brand, and I was in the process of changing my team around, but Megan knew what I was capable of and she worked alongside with me to help me unlock my potential. I think the level of development we receive starts to slow as we progress in our careers, but with Megan I just did not get that. She truly invested in her leaders and I believe it's what made us a successful as a district, and what made me excited to come to work everyday. Because of this investment Megan gave to me I was able to get promoted to our new concept store in the downtown market and was also able to help open another new concept store within the district. I was also able to be the Talent and Learning Tools Ambassador for the district and assist in training wherever I could. I accredit a large amount of my success at LOFT to Megan and the tremendous leader she was to me. I hope that one day we may get to cross paths and work together again.
