    • Off-Campus Officer
      • Jun 2019 - Jun 2020

As the elected Off-Campus Officer for TCDSU 2019/2020, I worked in advocating for better conditions for students based in Off-Campus locations and improved working rights for those on unpaid placements. I lobbied for clarity surrounding issues faced by students and was a liaison between students, the college and various clinical areas. During the COVID19 pandemic, the role proved challenging at times. I worked in assisting students who were evicted from their college accommodation, had to defer exams and placements due to personal difficulties and provided support wherever possible. I founded the Irish Student Nurses and Midwives Facebook page which quickly gained over a thousand members across the country. This was done to assist in providing clarity on issues faced by students. This was completed while working alongside the VP for Academic Affairs officer and the Dublin Region Officer of the Union of Students Ireland and a number of INMO representatives. Show less

    • Academic Senator
      • Sep 2017 - May 2019

As a member of the Academic Senate, I participated in discussions relating to education policies and academic issues faced by students in the college. The overall aim of the Senate was to improve efficiency within the SU and develop a more consultative approach to academic issues.Being a member of the Senate gave me a great insight into the role of the Education Officer, to which position I was elected to in February 2020.

    • Musical Director
      • Jun 2019 - Aug 2019

I was the chief voice and violin coach and Musical Theatre director at a camp for children from aged 6-18. It was a very demanding position, alongside normal counsellor duties such as overseeing the evening activities. In collaboration with the Acting counsellor, we wrote scripts, choreographed and arranged full musical numbers throughout the summer. I was also the audio technician for all performances. We put on 6 shows in total with a 2 week preparation period for each which was challenging but incredibly rewarding. I gained invaluable skills that summer and am incredibly grateful for the opportunity. Show less
