      Leading position of the Number 1 Students' Union in the UK. I was democratically elected to represent the views and interests of all students within the University of Sheffield Students' Union, locally and nationally. I was responsible for overseeing the financial, social enterprise and facilities of the Students' Union and lead on sustainability. I sat on a number of University boards such as the University of Sheffield's Sustainability Steering Group, University Council and the University's Finance Committee. In the Students' Union, I chaired the Finance Committee and the Trustee Board sub-committees of Finance, Audit and Risk and Marketing, Development and Strategy.Achievements:-Ran a two week long election campaign against four other candidates, after which I managed to receive a 2,000 vote majority-Launched a campaign on plastic pollution, the launch event of which got over 180 attendees-Opened the first outlet in a UK Students' Union dedicated to zero waste and sustainable living-Spoken on local radio twice about my campaign and appeared in local papers-Introduced food waste bins and improved recycling bins-Successfully lobbied the University to implement a sustainability strategy-Introduced price incentives for those who use reusables over disposables-Ran large scale panel events on the links between climate change and refugees and the gendered nature of climate change-Created on the UK's first campus-wide reusable coffee cup return scheme-Introduced new vegan options and ran a campaign incentivising students to try plant-based options
