  For my internship abroad for Aeres Hogeschool Almere, I have started as an intern in Denmark at Aarhus University, Department of Ecoscience. I will be doing an internship in the Wildlife Ecology group, where they mainly focus on mammals and birds. My internship will be a combination of office work with daily tasks and fieldwork. I will be helping out with different projects at multiple locations across Denmark. One of the projects will take place on the island of Rømø in the Danish Wadden Sea, where we will look at the breeding behaviour of the little tern and the kentish plover. Besides these species, we will look at other beach and water birds, such as the cormorant and sandwich tern. Show less

Working as a desk student at the Visitor Centre De Kennemerduinen is a very varied side job. Among other things, I inform visitors about the South Kennemerland National Park, sell sustainable articles available in the shop, rent bicycles and rent out treasure hunts for children of different ages.
