In March 1996, when my second child was one, I co-founded Wynleigh International (PTY) Ltd, a respected consulting firm in the field of Governance, Risk and Compliance management. The firm generated R12m in revenue during 2010/2011. During the start-up phase I sold the company’s services, interacting primarily at director level. At that time I also handled all logistics associated with consultant travel, distribution of training material, securing of conference facilities, importing and arranging for the installation of software. As the company grew I fitted naturally into the role of Financial Director, which I held for more than a decade, before leaving in May 2011 to start an Outsourcing firm. As financial director I established the financial systems, developed the accounting, administration and IT department to ten staff and was instrumental in establishing a sales team. My computer knowledge and practical nature allowed me to introduce a purpose built CRM database for sales. Show less

Branch Manager

After marrying in December 1986 i moved to Johannesburg from Durban and joined Super Rent, then a 20 year old business, which after being acquired by Midway Toyota went on to list as Super Group. i joined as bookkeeper handling all financial aspects of the business, became assistant to the Group Accountant after the acquisition and then Branch Manager – Alrode. In one year i took this branch to a level of performance second only to one other.
