• Contributed in designing an advanced low-power distributed computing system over CAN bus to drive various Underwater Autonomous Vehicles (UAV) for the US Navy and Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI). • Developed embedded control software and performed systems level integration between Arm Cortex M4 core and peripheral devices using I2C, SPI and UART that are required during missions of the UAV. • Spearheaded the design of the computing system PCB using Autodesk Fusion 360, incorporating design modularity to ensure compatibility with various components available in the market. • Designed the PCB for three different power lines with the capability to power switch up to 19 Amperes of current. • Negotiated with PCB manufacturers and chose optimal assembly components which lowered the cost by 60%. • Demonstrated the computing subsystems for various distributed functions on an UAV at MBARI Test Tank Facility.
