My responsibilities included helping teach and integrate personal safety and healthy living education into events and programming. I provided guidance to members on learning how to make positive and healthy decisions now, and in the future. I created a healthy lifestyle educational plan for the chapter to include, but not limited to: physical issues related to healthy exercise, eating/sleeping, awareness of alcohol use and abuse, when/why to see a physician, illnesses and disease, mental issues related to self-esteem, addictions, depression, campus issues related to safety, diversity, date/partner violence and self-defense.
