Completed a large policy review to be presented to the Brampton Public Library Board. The policy review required me to research other library's policies and procedures as well as relevant legislation. I made suggestions to create new policies where I saw trends. Office Assistant - Aboriginal Education Office

May 2016 - Aug 2016
I worked on a large RIM project to re-organize the shared drive and implement the Function-Based Common Record Series for all files. I collaborated with colleagues to develop an organization system that would work best for the office. I created a resource binder for people to refer to which contained information regarding where files should be kept, how folders should be organized, naming conventions, and retention schedules. I created visuals for people to understand the organization system which would allow them to quickly determine where a file should be kept. I held meetings with colleagues to keep them up-to-date on the project, to address any concerns as they arose, and to explain the new system once it was developed. Returned in September to present the work I did on the RIM transformation project to a Community of Practice meeting. Show less
