  Act as benefits point of contact for general questions related to benefits and retirement plans, including medical, dental, vision, FSAs, life insurance, leaves of absence, short and long term disability, COBRA, Workers Compensation, and 401k plans. Partner with People Operations Manager to gain feedback from the People Team about benefits vendors, and compile metrics regarding vendor SLA’s to report back to the People Team. Address employee inquiries and concerns related to benefits and welfare plans, partner with internal teams and vendors for resolution as necessary. Regularly update employees regarding status of outstanding inquiries and escalate issues as appropriate to Operations Leadership and People Business Partners. Facilitate benefits piece of new-hire orientation Assist with the annual benefits open enrollment process. Review, confirm and communicate with employees regarding all off cycle benefits changes (birth, marriage, loss of coverage etc) ensuring the process is complete and fully understood. Act as the main point of contact with the leave of absence vendor by confirming all leaves of absence, and return to work information - ensuring employees are aware of any pay or benefits implications upon their return to work. Process benefit data in the HRIS system and other vendor portals as required. Review and reconcile plan data and vendor invoices to ensure accuracy; assist with internal and third party benefit and welfare plan audits. Review, answer and close out any benefit related questions from current and former employees that are submitted to hrrequests@truecar.com. Support other operational projects as needed. Show less
