I managed this project from purchase to installation, and still do work with Sir Galloway. The 'Metalprogetti' conveyors took the antiquated system of hand bagging and assembling orders, to a new, modern approach by automating this process, without sacrificing quality. The orders that now go in to Sir Galloway have a permanent bar-code heat-sealed to the garment, opposed to a Dennison gun affixing a paper tag.The items then are cleaned, inspected, then the bar-code is scanned and the garment is loaded to a rotating conveyor. Originally, this process would take 1-2 minutes per garment, due to the employee having to compare a name on a paper tag to the same name a previous employee had to hang on a hanger. Once all the customers items are loaded to the conveyor, and the order is complete, the conveyor ejects the articles of clothing, and automatically bags and labels them. Overall, this project is saving Sir Galloway $100,000 annually, plus the piece-of-mind of always knowing where every garment is. Show less

Tuscaloosa I distributed Rockstar energy drinks to the community and across campus at several social events. As the College Brand Ambassador, I was responsible for taking 10 photos per month, with 3 different individuals all holding Rockstar in each photo. This experience helped improve my people skills, as I would have to ask complete strangers if they would mind taking a photo, as well as time management, and overall communication skills.

My Co-op experience sparked a passion for problem solving and mitigation within the refinery. These problem solving skills I learned there, I have taken with me and used in my education and everyday life. While at Hunt, I gained an immense knowledge on the oil industry, one I was previously foreign to. I was able to see first-hand how the machines and equipment we learn about in school works. During my second term of the co-op, the refinery had a 40-day plant-wide shutdown scheduled. I was able to be a part of this process, helping the other mechanical engineers on-site by preforming preliminary inspections of pressure vessels, piping, heat exchangers, tanks and many other refinery components.
