The explainer of our MTO program who had an explanation for everything, from elucidating us why we should align our thoughts with his ones to convincing our mentor why we failed to recommend improvements on the existing setup of a department. As it was a rigorous 13- week training program, we had hardly a moment to breathe, let alone the idle periods to know each other in personal life. But as we worked together, I started to analyze my colleagues. I mean, it comes naturally to me to analyze someone enlisted in my close contact. So, what I noticed initially, this guy is creative and excels in microsoft powerpoint and several other design platforms. Powerpoint presentation was the essence of our training program and the 4 weeks I was assigned with him as a team, among them, I had not to worry about the design of presentation slides for the last 3 weeks. Why last 3? Well, at the 1st week I teamed up with him, he didn't show off these skills and instead was noticing what I can do about it. As I was not that expert in microsoft powerpoint at that point of time, my slides were of average looking. However, it only becomes more fascinating when in the next week we were in the same team, he again let me prepare most parts of the presentation slides, but this time guiding me with continuous lessons about how to do it better. And you believe it or not, we received the 'best presenters' award on that week from one of the directors of the group. Another thing I noticed, this guy is very determined towards his goal and can do anything to achieve that goal, I literally mean, anything. This MTO program was a bit of competition as well for us as we were to be posted in different departments afterwards based on the evaluation of our performances. So, it may seem that as he was this determined towards his goal, which was obviously not ordinary as you can infer from his current posting in the group, he might think us as competitors and always wanted to surpass us in every aspect. You are wrong then. He instead helped each of us with everything in every possible manner. As I have told, I have learnt many things about preparing quality presentation slides from him. I have also learnt so much about textile sector from him. The last but not the least of a thing that I noticed about him, he has an enchanting power to entertain the persons around him by emulating someone else with his gestures and voice or by just igniting a gossip by sharing ridicules. What you can just digest from this analysis, you can feel safe around him but be careful, in the hindsight, 9/ 10, he is cleverer than you and might make you pay for your over dependency on him.
