As a strategic leader reporting directly to the CEO, I had sole responsibility for rebuilding and leading all aspects of the entire Product Development department. My team was committed to following the Agile Scrum methodology to deliver and support business-critical, shipping software for both hardware and hosted applications. The team consisted of a Development Manager, 4 Developers and a Business Analyst. My team was responsible for the maintenance, support, design and development of shipping software, web applications and all server-side processes using a wide variety of Microsoft Technologies (C#, VB.NET 3.5-4.5, ASP.NET 4,WCF, MVC, LINQ/EF4, Enterprise Library 4-5, SQL Server 2008R2, and Visual Basic 6). Accomplishments:• I led a 7 month initiative to rewrite and implement a new architecture for a business-critical, VoIP calling engine, which makes millions of minutes of hosted phone calls each month. • I led the development effort that designed and developed the flagship new web-based hosted product (HealthWave Connect), which was fully ready to market within 18 months.• I led the entire product lifecycle for the development of a complex Hosted Billing web application. This application had been stalled for several years prior, automated countless hours of manual processing and was critical to the monthly cash flow of the business.• I led the development and release of “auto-update” functionality for the legacy desktop client software, which previously lacked this capability.• I led the development and implementation of a 2-way API integration application that sends and receives data between PhoneTree and major EHR vendors.• Established relationships with offshore teams in Romania and India to handle development and testing on a per-project basis for a multitude of unplanned initiatives.• I created well-defined career and training plans to develop and challenge all employees, which motivated them to perform at higher levels.
