  In my current position as an Education and Studio Coordinator at LUX Center for the Arts, I assist our Education Director with all of the LUX’s education-related tasks. Because of the diversity of what I do day to day, this requires me to be highly organized and able to multitask competently. I am involved in every aspect of our education department. In my role I: upload classes on our website and oversee class registration; coordinate with teachers, students, parents, and LUX visitors, ensuring their experience is one they will want to come back to; and maintain excellent classroom organization and supply inventory so our classes are able to run smoothly.   In my role as an Artist in Residence, I taught a variety of art classes at the LUX Center for the Arts as well as throughout the community through our outreach program. This included after school art programs for Title 1 elementary schools, the Lancaster County Youth Services Center, and workshops for cancer patients and rehabilitation patients. In this position, I had the pleasure of teaching art and bringing a diverse range of ages and individuals into the art community. I also coordinated, curated, and installed a collaborative exhibition in the Community Gallery with a fellow artist in residence to select works of both of ours that were cohesive to the theme of our show Show less
