In this position, I worked closely with team members to streamline the annual statement process for the actuarial department. Specifically, I was able to simplify a process that previously required 17 workbooks to now only require one. This was done through the use of Access and Excel/VBA and will allow more time for in-depth analysis and significantly decrease probability of error. Additionally, I worked with senior management from both the actuarial and accounting departments to develop workbooks to be used to calculate reserves and book necessary entries to the ledger at each quarter close.
