As an internship student at Mary Free Bed I developed individualized treatment plans for a variety of diagnosis. I implemented many aquatic therapy sessions with a variety of ages and diagnosis. I completed assessments, progress notes and discharge notes of patients on a program called Cerner. I learned to write letters of medical necessity to obtain insurance coverage for adaptive equipment for patients. Finally I worked closely with other departments as part of an interdisciplinary team. As the Adaptive Cheerleading coach I lead girls in the fundamentals of cheerleading including incorporating how to work together as a team. I organize events or opportunities with other teams in and around the community for our team to participate alongside. Fieldwork Student

As a fieldwork student at Grandville Senior Neighbors Center, I researched, organized and planned new monthly outings within targeted budget for participants. I developed relationships with seniors through daily interactions, and participation in outings. I was responsible for creating the monthly newsletter for Grandville's Senior Neighbors location as well as flyers outlining events and outings available to citizens in the City of Grandville and Senior Neighbors members. I worked with other volunteers to setup sport equipment, organize sport chairs and helped transfer youth to sport chairs.
