It's a great privilege working with Scott in Maplin project. His exceptional in-depth knowledge in the hybris platform, the direction and help during solving crucial problems and detailed solution is highly impressive. He is true professional technical architect who provides solutions along with business values and growing deliverable with qualities. I had the opportunity to learn a lot working with him on various complex tasks. It has been a pleasure working with Scott and I have learned a lot from him. Worked with Scott in Maplin project a year ago. I learnt many things under his supervision. The way he cracks critical issues and providing solution in details to the team is really outstanding. I really enjoyed that career span of my entire SAP Hybris projects experiences. Scott is really a true architect who knows that only solution is not enough, the technical detailing to peers make project success ever.I privileged to be working with him in Maplin project and looking forward to work with him in near future. Best wishes from my side to new role and his future endeavor. All the best & good luck.

Lead a team of 12 with multiple skills ranging from SAP Hybris, DevOps, Adobe AEM, Angular.js, Mulesoft and testing capabilities to deliver a headless commerce solution that launched in India to 428 B2B users initially, currently expanding to the thousands each day. The SAP Hybris capability leverages the Hot Folder mechanism to allow flat files from a legacy system to provision data into our application, and complex pricing was introduced using SOLR and segmentation data. In addition, an integration to Salesforce Identity Provider was developed, to enable B2B users to be able to sign in to our application and others using single sign on. Show less

My role involved travelling to Kilkenny, Ireland to take part in continuous solution architecture as well as leading the development for my client. I contributed towards the design, development and provided architecture expertise in delivering a headless commerce engine using Hybris’ Omni Commerce Connect framework to expose endpoints for other CMS platforms to consume, leveraging the scalability of complex user journeys within Hybris, whilst being able to use other platforms such as Acquia, Drupal, Adobe Experience Manager, amongst others to control the user experience. In addition to this, I worked on- location with the business to assist in driving the business process and requirements for bespoke abandoned cart logic. I also integrated Hybris with the Sabrix Tax Engine to calculate taxes in US regions and integrated with Campaign Monitor to send templated e-mails to customers. Show less

I joined IBM to bring Hybris experience to the growing SAP Hybris practice and contribute towards delivery by leading multiple teams in India to not only perform well, but to do it with a higher sense of quality than other offshore delivery models that I have led in the past. I was also one of the key contributors within the European practice and aided in establishing our technical processes and principals that we should be following. In addition to my delivery focused work, I contributed to bids and proposals and have been placed on contracts as a named resource. Show less

I worked as a Hybris Developer, developing system integration solutions for enterprise level companies using Java and Hybris. Joining Invent Commerce allowd me to further enhance my knowledge of the Hybris platform by getting into more depths with different areas such as the payment services and the add-on functionality that Hybris can provide. I was frequently involved with the Request For Proposal (RFP) process, which involved developing a set of demos for prospective clients, including some demos in collaboration with the SAP Hybris pre-sales team in order to demonstrate both the capability of the Hybris platform and what Invent Commerce could do as system integrators. I have also been fortunate to be part of the discussion with the prospective clients and give technical assurance when required. In addition to the pre-sales element of my role, I also introduced new ways of working, taking some of the best parts of my previous job. This included: Test Driven Development – Prepared a short seminar and set of exercises to guide team members in how to write tests first, using both FitNesse for Integration/Acceptance Testing, and JUnit for Unit Testing. Clean Coding – I also tried to inspire other developers to take interest in clean code, following good design patterns, SOLID principles, verbose naming conventions and refactoring techniques that helps code remain readable over the long term. Pair Programming – Demonstrating different pairing techniques to ensure code is constantly being reviewed and sanity checked whilst helping to maintain the use of Test Driven Development and Clean Code. Since joining Travis Perkins, I have worked on some truly exciting projects within the Travis Perkins estate. From the moment I initially joined the company as a Trainee Developer, I was lucky enough to be a part of the auto-replenishment solution for Wickes, from requirements all the way to release. Not only did this allow me to stamp my mark on a vital project so early within my career, but it also allowed me to learn the ropes of what it takes to be a fully pro-active software developer. In 2013, the department switched to an agile methodology (SAFe), which enabled me to follow a truly professional approach to the way software is delivered, using practices such as Test Driven Development, Clean Code and Paired Programming in order to deliver high quality content on a frequent basis. Moving into the agile ways of working gave me plenty of new opportunities to progress as a software engineer, allowing me to get up to speed with Java at an Enterprise level, along with Spring MVC and the Hybris framework. Projects I have worked on: Wickes Auto Replenishment (2010-2012) Wickes Mobile (2013) Insulation Giant (www.insulationgiant.co.uk) (2013-2014) Custom built product management functions including Talend data cleansing and bulk uploading (2014) Show less
