  I tutored a 4th grader and 7th grader two times a week. I provided study guides to help them prepare for examinations and tests. I recommended ways for them to study to be successful in passing important tests. I was frequently in contact with their teachers to make ensure I was teaching the correct methods they were getting tested on, the status of their grades, and what the teachers believed the students needed more work on. I patiently worked with these students for six months until they started gaining the skills they needed to be successful in a math environment. Before working with the students they were failing their math classes (F on a grading scale) and by the end of the 6 months they both raised their grades to passing (B on the grading scale).
