My role with DCE consists of the day to day project management of Transportation Projects, including various Traffic Impact Studies throughout the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, including Energy, Recreational, Retail and Residential projects. To date, tasks include the analysis of existing traffic survey data, junction modeling using Sidra Software as well as liaising with clients and the Integrated Transport Centre personnel to achieve approval for such TIS projects. Site Engineer/Land Surveyor

During my time at McDonald Surveys, I was involved in many projects, across a range of sectors, from residential developments to pipeline construction to large scale topographic surveying.I've been involved in a variety of Construction projects across Ireland & the UK including;- Setting Out of Foundations, Walls, Structures, Roadways, Drainage & Boundary Lines, across a range of projects including Motorways, Gas Pipelines, Commercial & Residential Developments & Earthworks projects, to name a few.- Carrying out Topographical Surveys for Boundary Mapping & also as part of Planning Permission requirements, using a variety of Trimble Equipment, including Total Station & GPS.- Completing As-Built Surveys of Roads, Buildings & Structures, Pipelines, Drainage & Excavations to a high standard of accuracy & detail.- Acted as a Drainage Supervisor for two Pre-Construction Drainage crews on a 40km section of the Gas To The West Project, ensuring all drainage was installed to correct grades & specifications required by the client.- Installing monitoring pins & leveling grids to monitor the movement of Roads & Bridges.- Using AutoCAD Civil 3D, Measured Building Survey (MBS) & LSS Software to produce drawings such as Site Layout plans, Measured Surveys & As-Constructed drawings of Pipelines, Utilities, Roads & Drainage.- Liaising with the main contractors' engineering team to ensure key project milestones were achieved.- Ensuring all works carried out by Mc Donald Surveys are completed with the highest degree of safety in mind.Notable Projects:- Facebook Data Centre - Phase 5 & 6, Clonee, Co.Meath.- M17/M18 Motorway in Co. Galway.- New Audi Centre in South Co. Dublin.- Gas To The West Pipeline Project in Northern Ireland.- Pile Formation Setting Out on a number of mixed-use developments in Dublin City Centre.- Residential developments throughout Ulster & Leinster.- River & Lake Hydrographical Surveys across Ireland.- Topographical Surveys throughout Ireland.

Site Engineer

Member of Site Management team, acting as Site Engineer on a Scottish Water project for CSO Installation & Sewer Replacement Works in Glasgow City Centre. The Dukes Road project was subsequently nominated for an Engineers Ireland Excellence Award.Site Engineer for an Electric Hydro Scheme project in the Scottish Highlands, working alongside Morgan Sindall & Gilkes Energy.- Carrying out Site surveys, gradient checks and setting out on site, using Automatic Level, Total Station & GPS.- Compiling ground condition reports following investigation digs, reporting on the topography & soil make up of area of the site.- Ensuring operations carried out on site are done so in a safe manner, protecting each individuals’ health.- Inspecting plant and lifting equipment to ensure they are in good working condition, detailing any faults in a GA2 Report. - Sourcing appropriate plant and equipment to complete works, taking into account transport costs, fuel efficiency and suitability for site specific tasks.- Attending site meetings with clients, providing progress reports on works being carried out at present.- Dealing with any issues from residents of the local area, who are effected by ongoing works.- Ordering materials for site to allow works to be completed efficiently, preventing any unnecessary delays.- Project planning in conjunction with the project manager, to ensure works start and finish within the agreed project framework, achieving programme dates & targets.- Updating a Project Costings spreadsheet on a daily basis, which in turn, provides an in-depth record of capital spent throughout each section of a project. - Member of site management team overseeing a project, which achieved a 25% profit, a significant increase on the percentage forecast in the tender stage budget.

Machine Operator

Building Surveyor

- Carrying out Building & Schedule of Condition Surveys.- Completing Building & Site Inspections and updating project progress reports following each inspection.- Reviewing Dilapidation requirements for clients.- Attending design meetings with clients, adding my opinion on specific topics & recording notes for future reference. - Using AutoCAD to generate high quality 2D drawings.- I.T. skills were vitally important as reports & drawings had to be completed to a high standard. - Excellent communication between colleagues & clients resulted in a detailed understanding of tasks to be completed.- Working under my own initiative to complete a report for a client prior to an agreed deadline, ensuring client satisfaction & demonstrating good time management on my behalf.
