  After completing a broadcasting diploma and working as a broadcaster for over a decade, McDaniel and his family felt the call to enter full time ministry. This brought him to the island of Bonaire in 1984. After 13 years, he went to the International Head Office of TWR. Once he completed seven years he moved on to Singapore for ten years where he served as the Ministry Director for South East Asia then spend his last four years as the Special Assistant to the General Secretary at the Bible Society Singapore before returning to Canada in 2013. Since being 'home' he has taken on the role of Director of the Discipleship Essentials ministry. He now travels globally to raise awareness of the importance of the church embracing its responsibility to disciple its people and offer assistance as needed.
