Our volunteers' structure span the entire 37 states in Nigeria.- Representing my organization, I have been part of a team of health tech experts and program managers under a project sponsored by IPRD Solutions Inc. to design a digital tool that would assist primary healthcare centres (PHCs) in data collection particularly at the Antenatal care unit. The data collected, Indeed with other state and national survey seeks to improve the health outcomes for pregnant women. Nigeria has the highest maternity rate in Nigeria and the ABC unit in the PHC is where the women often get their care. KEY ACHIEVEMENTS- As part of the monitoring and evaluation team of HACEY Health Initiative, I have participated in theideation and scripting phases of over 12 grants. The funding opportunities were mostly for addressing gaps in WASH, women empowerment, health & wellbeing, decent work and other SDGs in various communities across Nigeria.- At the national level, I am currently serving as the team lead, assisting my organization in implementing a United States-assisted project that seeks raise more nonprofits and developmental organizations to address various development needs in communities in Nigeria. With help of my team, I curated about 15 courses from Leadership development to program development and evaluation to surviving an audit. We partner with high quality resource persons mostly from the Mandela Washington Fellowship to facilitate the sessions. This program will last for 6 months. So far, we've implemented the program for NGO founders for 10 weeks. - Between August 29 and September 2nd, 2022, I assisted my organization in implementing a girls'empowerment program (supported by Empower) in Ikorodu local government in Lagos Nigeria. It was a 5-day summer camp aimed at providing 100 girls, knowledge, skills and tools on their sexual and reproductive health and rights, mental health, financial education and life skills. The 100 girls who will become our fellows and community champion receive mentorship for 1 year and will be supported to train up at least 50 other girls in their communities. Key Activities - I serve as full time volunteer basis as a Sustainability associate in Parallelpoint Development initiative, a non-affiliate of Parallelpoint Consult Using various sustainability reporting standards like GRI, SASB, I have participated in the scripting of the annual report of telcos such as MTN and Access Bank, a leading financial institution in Nigeria. - I facilitated more than 30 virtual interviews sessions from generating for a call for application from various positions such accounts manager, HR manager, programs manager, Sustainability associate etc. Typically, after selecting the most suitable candidate the pool, I provided follow up in form of voice calls and schedule the virtual interview with the senior Managers of both organizations. I was responsible for detailing all the comments and observations made by the management and to also provide recommendations. A report on interview is generated and the best 3 candidates are selected. Then an offer is made. This involves further follow up until the offer is accepted or an agreeable compromise is reached. I served as an intern in the clinical laboratory department of the IHVN – an international not-for-profit organization supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). I worked in all the units of the laboratory including the hematology/immunology, chemistry, phlebotomy units. I learned how to perform HIV screening; use the hematology and chemistry auto-analyzers to evaluate the health status of HIV-positive patients and other patients suffering from venereal diseases.
