Sourcing and Events Executive
-
Apr 2022 - Present
This role involves many fields: - Event Sourcing: Once the client has sent us their brief we submit this to our software and venue source which means based on our research we contact the most suitable venues for them. - High touch, high standard client relations: We liaise directly with our clients and support any questions they have and then provide them with a proposal. - Venue visits: In my first three weeks I’ve visited 30 5 star hotels and restaurants in London. Building relationships and research for our clients! - I’m also learning to use Excel more for our spreadsheets and data. Show less

Conference and Events Assistant
-
Sep 2021 - Mar 2022
In this role I worked as an assistant in the Conference and Banqueting department! This means I’d assist with pre event set up such as arranging tables based on table plans and room set up. I’d also assist with briefing agency staff and their registration. During events, I’d assist with serving guests, most often I was on the dietary requirement team. I also supported with cloakroom and any other queries they had! In this role I worked as an assistant in the Conference and Banqueting department! I’ve experienced in depth training which included health and safety information such as food safety. As well as waitressing techniques such as setting up dinner tables, serving guests in a formal setting and communicating with professional clients. In this role I have had the opportunity of assisting coordination at several events! I delivered a formal dinner for Oxford University as well as helping to coordinate a wedding reception in Oxford. These events involved decorating also liaising closely between staff members, clients and guests. My favourite event I have been involved with At Your Service was the Pretty Little Thing x Little Mix clothing line launch. Working for such high profile clients meant extreme attention to detail was required when decorating, making sure everything was safe and ready, from the stage to the ruby chocolate fountain! Once decorating had been done, myself and my team had to assist with the coordination of the artists and their schedules, serving guests and ensuring the event ran smoothly by maintaining a clean and spacious environment. Event Assistant

Dec 2018 - Dec 2018
I was thoroughly involved in volunteering as an Event Assistant for two weeks. For the first few days of my experience I did office work involving; making an Excel spreadsheet of necessary items for the events, discussing event briefs with the team and organising decorations for the event. The practical side I loved meant I would go to venues with the team, decorate, greet guests and be available for anything I was required to do e.g. occasionally checking guests in at the door. We would also sometimes have an event summary, evaluating the day. Show less

My roles allowed me to develop skills such as; teamwork, multitasking working to deadlines. I also developed soft skills including customer services and being able to handle enquiries. This position encouraged me to be adaptable as well, as not only did I work in my own department (mens), I occasionally had to support other departments or the cafe when understaffed.
