Responsible for individually assigned torture claimants and to liaise with the Hong Kong Immigration Department (Removal Assessment Section), Duty Lawyers, interpreters and claimants. Regular legal visits to prisons and detention centres are required. As part of the Convention Against Torture (CAT) Scheme, a Court Liaison Officer works closely with lawyers, interpreters and clients as a team to provide legal assistance to claimants in filing for a Non-Refoulement Claim Form.
